Hello! I love your blog. I'm 48 years old and I've been dancing for almost 2 years. I've competed twice, and I plan on competing again this winter. The first time I competed, I had my makeup done by a pro. I HATED the way I looked. A cross between a hooker and a clown. So, the second time I did my own makeup. Much more subtle, but definitely not anything special. Can you do a post for ballroom makeup for older women? I really feel like the typical DanceSport look is too much for a older woman. What are your thoughts?
Hi Meryl! I'm so happy you enjoy the blog! A post on makeup for mature women is definitely in the works, because the makeup style is a bit different. However, it's still much heavier than most women expect. In the mean time, if you want to email me photos of your dress (and maybe even how you like to do your comp makeup normally) I'll be happy to send you some personalized suggestions! My email is info@ballroombitch.com
Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for that post!
